Today, we will discuss a movie review that will explain the 'Love Wedding Repeat' story and real value. Written by Dan Craig, the movie was released on 10 April 2020 on Netflix.

The cast includes some pretty well-known names in lead roles; Freida Pinto, Sam Claflin, Olivia Munn amongst others. It’s a Romantic Comedy film and filming was done in Italy.

The plot of the movie revolves around Hayley and her brother, Jack who is trying to save her sister’s wedding. Troubles arise for him after he comes across his ex-girlfriend at the wedding.

Hayley made a mistake a few weeks ago and sleeps with a guy mistakenly and this mistake comes back to haunt her in the form of an extremely coked-up jealous lover, determined to ruin the wedding and prove that Hayley is in love with her.

But Hayley, who is actually very happy with Roberto, the man she marries, tries her very best to stop him ruining her wedding and enlists Jack’s help. It is due to this that Jack’s troubles start. The movie rewinds and the Oracle retells it differently.

💥Inside the Story:

The movie is told in two different ways, painting two different scenarios. In the first one, the wedding is ruined but in the second one, the conditions get reversed and the characters get their happy endings and everything goes smoothly with just Marc not getting what he wants i.e. Hayley.

A misplaced sedative, A seating arrangement mix-up and a missed shot all combine to make this movie a classic eg. Of a Rom-Com.

The reviews and ratings of the movie are not 100% positive. The movie inspired mixed reviews and it’s not hard to see why.

I personally didn’t enjoy the movie either. The movie started off okay. But as it went on, it just became boring and it seemed to just drag on and on. The characters are all excessively awkward, with no reason. And this awkwardness just ruins the plotline.

There are a few instances where humor is actually present but that too is ruined due to the characters presenting it the way they do. The movie has a huge cringe factor from start to finish. Especially Sidney’s character. He comes across as a bit of a creep due to the immense amount of awkwardness he possesses.

Halfway through the movie I was left seriously questioning my decision to watch this movie and whether to continue it any further. The movie does bring forth a light comedy and is a good watch if you have a lot of free time on your hands or if you’re a serious fan of any one of the actors.

And the ending was a cliché, but then I think that is to be expected considering the genre of the movie. Olivia Munn and Freida Pinto looked stunning and the only two actors whose acting I could tolerate.

Theirs were the only two characters that did not have any awkwardness and had no cringe factor or awkwardness.

The movie is the remake of the 2012 comedy, Plan de Table. The narrator tells that moving place settings at a table could cause a different outcome each time and we are shown this when the movie ‘resets’.  the chaotic situations and the poor decisions of the people present are supposed to cause hilarity to ensue except it doesn’t. instead, there’s just an odd smirk here and there.

The movie is flat. And feels like a wannabe comedy. It is not all bad though. There are a few instances where the movie is actually funny. And the moment is not immediately ruined by the characters. But overall, it’s an okayish watch.

I would rate it a 2 out of 5. And I don’t know whether I would recommend it to anybody or not. But if you’re looking for a one-time watch, then this movie is worth watching. But watch it at your own risk. Because you might get bored out of your skull watching it.
